Desi Lopez Fafié, an auditor by profession,was born in 1957, educated in Europe and has held several positions in auditing firms and finance, including Director of Finance at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. For the last 19 years he has been working in the IT industry, first for MSA (later Dun & Bradstreet Software) and then for Oracle (since 1993) where he held a variety of key positions before being appointed Managing Director for Oracle African Operations. In 2006 he was made vice president for African Operations.
Desi speaks six European languages and one Asian language. He lives in Accra, Ghana, and is responsible for the management of sales on the African continent, with the exception of South Africa and Egypt.
